Chamber Experience
 

       

 

This annual fundraising event held during in May provides financial support for many of the Chamber’s activities and is an evening of fun that includes fabulous food and both a silent and a live auction.  Past items for auction have included a trip to The Masters, an all-inclusive two-day trip to Atlanta (including a visit to the Georgia Aquarium and an Atlanta Braves baseball game), fishing excursions, golf outings, home improvement packages and much, much more.  It is definitely a “do not miss” event!

 

This year's event is Wednesday, May 23 from 5:30-8:30 at Sea Palms Golf and Tennis Resort on St. Simons Island.

Annual Dinner
 




The Chamber's Annual Dinner is held in June and attended by hundreds of Chamber members to celebrate the successes of the previous year and to recognize the incoming President and Board of Directors. We also recognize an outstanding community leaders with the presentation of the Alfred W. Jones Award, the Volunteer of the Year Award, Ambassador of the Year Award and Chairman’s Award.

 

     
Grits and Issues Breakfast
 

The Grits and Issues Breakfast is an annual event held in December where our State and Federal legislators provide comments on issues facing them in the upcoming legislative year.


This year's program involves the following legislators providing their views on the 2011 General Assembly Session: State Representative-Elect Alex Atwood (District 179), State Representative Roger Lane, District 167, State Representative-Elect Jason Spencer (District 180), State Senator Tommie Williams (District 19) and State Senator William Ligon (District 3).

Golf Tournament
 


















One of the premiere golf events in Brunswick and the Golden Isles, this tournament is held in September with door prizes and the usual longest drive, closest to the pin, etc. skill recognitions. But what really sets this tournament apart is the variety of unique activities that are created to challenge the players. Each year, a sell-out field of 36 teams participates in this event. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

     
Trade Fair
 


The 29th Annual Trade Fair will be held on February 16 on Jekyll Island Exhibitions allow you to go one step further and engage in up-close-and-personal discussions with potential customers. Exhibitors include banks, physicians, small businesses, communications companies, non-profit organizations, and contractors… a real cross-section of Chamber member businesses.
