Leadership Glynn Program

Leadership Glynn is an 8-month program designed to equip, empower, and connect both emerging and established leaders throughout Glynn County. The program graduates 30 participants, on average, annually.  The purpose and goal of Leadership Glynn is to develop informed leaders and channel their ideas and experiences toward community resources, issues and concerns to help direct the future of the Brunswick and Glynn County areas.

The Leadership Glynn Program runs from October through May. The program consists of approximately eight (8) informative and interactive sessions designed to develop leadership skills, provide networking opportunities and educate participants about the Glynn County business climate and local issues.  The program is a success, and many of its graduates are involved in our community and serving in leadership capacities.

    Program Highlights
    • Kickoff Weekend: Begins on Sunday, October 12 at 1:00 PM, followed by the Kick-Off Dinner. A full day of leadership development will take place on Monday, October 13.
    • Graduation: Held on a Friday in May (date to be announced).
    • Monthly Sessions: Usually scheduled on Fridays.
      • State Capitol Trip: A two-night trip to Atlanta is scheduled for February 16–18, 2026. Participants are responsible for hotel costs and meals during travel. Room sharing is encouraged to reduce expenses. This is arguably one of the most impactful sessions and we highly encourage you not to miss it.
      • Attendance Policy:
To graduate, participants may only miss one scheduled session. If additional sessions are missed, participants may make up for the absence by attending or volunteering at a Chamber event (to be arranged individually).
      • A detailed program schedule will be provided prior to the start of the program.
      Program Objectives
      • To maintain a vital, positive community and to ensure continued sound growth, we need a healthy reservoir of knowledgeable community leaders.
      • To ensure a pool of talent from which the community can draw its future leaders, men and women with leadership potential must be given an opportunity to learn fully how the city and county work and what the forces are that make them work.
      • Continuing leadership development will ensure positive involvement in addressing community, regional, and state issues.
